What is the Body Stress Release technique?
Body Stress Release (or BSR) is a gentle bodywork technique that helps your body re-engage it’s natural healing ability, release tension and let go.
The technique uses a very precise pattern of ‘releases’ that re-connect the brain with areas of the body where tension has become ‘stuck’ or chronic. Releases are done as a slight pressure or impulse using the thumb or fingers, and they feel good! BSR is a safe technique that can be used across all ages and levels of health.

Having suffered with chronic back pain that hadn’t responded to osteopathy, physiotherapy, pilates and NHS consultants I had pretty much given up trying to find relief… I had 4 sessions and have been completely pain free for 7 months now. Laine’s sessions are the most soothing and comforting experiences. It’s like having a massage! She is truly gifted and I can’t recommend her practice enough.
During my first session I felt a vivid ‘unwinding’ sensation in the small of my back and noticeably afterwards, aside from feeling wonderfully relaxed, was aware of how effortlessly I was able to hold good posture. Now, a week after my third release, the pain in my lower back has completely gone and my shoulder has regained most of its mobility.
Booking & pricing
Some issues are resolved quickly, some take more time. I recommend a minimum 3 sessions to give your body-mind the best chance to respond and change. I offer all my clients an introductory package at £120 made up of an initial hour-long session and two half hour sessions.
£40 – £80 depending on session length and type and whether online or in-person.
